Léola Le Blanc is a media artist living in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She holds a Masters of Fine Arts degree from NSCAD University in Halifax Nova Scotia and a Masters degree in Anthropology/Archeology from Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario. She is the recipient of several awards including an Open Projects grant from the Halifax Regional Municipality for Temporary Public Art, Canada Council Travel Grant, Nova Scotia Tourism, Culture and Heritage Professional Development Grants, the Greg Rudel/Andrew Shepherd Memorial Scholarship, Banff New Media Institute, Centre for Art Tapes Media Arts Scholarship, the Marion McCain Scholarship, the Frederick L Hovey Scholarship and the Georgian College of Arts & Technology Design Arts Award. Her work is included in the Nova Scotia Art Bank. She has recently completed a residency at The Banff New Media Institute and the Centre for Art Tapes.

Her most recent works include DAMMSel Day, a locative media project set in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, iObject, a video podcast screened at the Neptune Theatre in Halifax, Perpétuel, a Nocturne installation and Désoreille, an interactive audio and electronic installation exhibited at the Anna Leonowens Gallery in Halifax. Her craft and sculptural work has also been exhibited internationally in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and the Netherlands. She is also a curator and writer. Her projects include Ex Corpore, an exhibition by artists WhiteFeather and Carol Collicutt at the Mary E. Black Gallery, Caustic Assets, a video screening at Dalhousie Art Gallery, and S & M, an exhibition by artists Marilyn Preus and Brad Hall at the Mary E. Black Gallery.
