Désoreille is a gallery installation that urges the audience to turn down the visual volume and enter with ears wide open. Through an exploration of everyday sounds and noise, questions of identity, desire and the act listening unfold as sensory awareness. The simple act of sitting and listening offers visitors to the gallery an opportunity to become active participants through their physical interaction with the artwork. An arrangement of chairs throughout the installation is an interface for sonic and experiential possibilities.
